This year, our first graders represented Great Britain. They danced to "Spoonful of Sugar," "Step in Time," and "Let's Go Fly a Kite!" They did an amazing job and I couldn't have been prouder of their performance. If there are any parents out there with our performance on video, contact me via email and we'll see if we can get a video up on our blog!
The students had a wonderful time at the zoo. Such an educational trip. The students' were all in docent lead groups. See the photos from the zoo under our "Photos" drop down menu. Any parent(s) that have additional zoo photos, please send to my email ([email protected]), so I can upload them onto the weebly. Thank you.
We had a wonderful assembly around adaptations! It was the perfect introduction to our soon to study unit around habitats! The students not only learned about animal adaptations but also got to touch sea creatures in their mobile touch tanks! Thank you PTA for supporting our curriculum! We walked to the La Mirada Theatre, to watch the Peter Pan production. Our first field trip of the year. Thank you parents who volunteered their time to walk the class safely there. Enjoy the photos below. (One of the photos even has a photo bomb from one of our parents from last year...Mr. Dix, I expect a blog from you!) Today, we had our meet the masters assembly. We learned about Faith Ringgold. She is one of the artist that we have learned about, that is still living today. As a surprise, our friend Roxy was chosen to model as Faith Ringgold. Enjoy. |
