We have been hooping away in PE. Here we are having small obstacle skill races with Mrs. Sato's class. Today's assembly was about recognizing the men and women of this country's various military branches. Here are a few photos of our own students' with family in the service, who have served or are serving in these branches. We want to say "thank you" all the veterans of this country who have protected and continue to protect our nation's freedom. Our very first field trip of the year. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, we safely walked to and from the La Mirada theatre. This year's theatre production was all about the inventor Thomas Jefferson. Great job walking friends! Photos from our Halloween Party. Boys and Girls have a safe Halloween with your families. During the red ribbon assembly, Lucas was selected to play a game. He won the contest for first grade. Then went on to win the contest playing against all the other classes at Eastwood. Woo hoo! Lucas brought back a whole bag of goodies for our class! Way to go Lucas!!

What a great turn out...from piggy princesses to the creeper from Minecraft to cute owls to the famous Spiderman! I hope every family was able to enjoy this family project together with their child. Fit Fund Day! What a fun day it was. From walking, to skipping, to jogging to walking backwards. These little guys did it! They moved for 20 minutes to help our school earn money for art, music and technology! Way to go first graders! Hoop it Up assembly was brought to the students by PTA.
